These are NOT California bees or bees with California queen added. Bees and queens are Italian/Carniolan cross, locally adapted survivor stock derived from USDA VSH (Varroa Sensitive Hygiene) breeding program, Utah/Idaho bred and raised.
Nucs are treated for mites with approved organic methods.
Nucs delivered in durable, reusable and recycle-able plastic nuc box($18.00 value).
Nucleus hives are cost effective--they will provide a 4 week+ head start compared to package bees and increase prospects for surplus honey the first year.
Typically available beginning late April through June. Limited quantity, book early to assure availability. .
Orders of 11 or more require 20% deposit to book.
