The Trail Obstacle challenge consists of ten to twenty (depending on category) fun, challenging, and educational obstacles based on the skills needed for trail riding. Questions about scoring will be answered during the participants' initial walk-through of the course.

Early online signup can be done at https://www.portneufriverbch.com The cost will be $15 for lead-line and $35 for all other classes. Prices will be $20 and $45 in person on the morning of the event. If you have questions, or want to pay
with cash or check, call the PRBCH Event Manager at show contact info . Riders 17 & under must wear a helmet. The number of participants will cap at 42.

Age Groups: YOUTH: ≤12 years, and 13 to 17 years; ADULTS: ≥18 years. Categories: Lead Line 9 a.m. Novice 10:30 a.m. Amateur 1:00 p.m. Open 2:00 p.m.

Lead line is where the horse is not ridden but is led through the course. For young children, adult supervision will be needed. Novice is for riders and horses with little familiarity with or experience with trail obstacles. Amateur is for riders with some experience, and Open is for those with a lot of experience.
