This is a sweet ride for the vintage junkie who wants modern components and feel. The frame is an original 1970's era, steel, Made in France Motobecane Nomade II. It has been customized with an Eighth-Inch single-speed drive-train (crank-set, rear wheel, rear hub, and chain ring), Mavic front wheel, Origin 8 stem and flying goose handlebars, Salsa grip tape, Serfas saddle, and cycle-cross nubby tires. Vintage condition frame - some rust, scrapes, and minor dings, nothing detrimental, just enough to look legit. All the components are in good shape - minor scrapes and rust here and there.
The cross tires allow you to commute around town year-round, and take that gravel-trail short-cut on the way home with confidence. They are easy to swap out though if you want road slicks. As a single-speed with a single brake, this bike is simple, solid, sporty, and basically maintenance free. It's also pretty large. I'm 5'11" and have used this as my commuter for the last couple years and have definitely blown the crotch out of a few pants saddling up. Probably best for someone 6' - 6'5"
