We can pick you up at Blackfoot, Idaho Falls, Pocatello bus station or airport. A one time pickup fee of $75 applies (milage about 150 miles minimum). Pickup fee needs to be paid in advance.
Grand Ave Hotel turned into an apartment building in Arco, Idaho 83213. Rent is extremely low. Tenant pays electricity and landlord pays water/sewer/trash. It is a 16-apt building in a small town 17 miles west of the Idaho National Lab and about the same distance east of Crater of Moon National Monument.
The city of Arco is the county seat of Butte County. Total population is about 880 according to 2020 census (lost 11% in last ten years). A rural area surrounded by farms and mountains. Arco has a grocery store, a Family Dollar, a hardware store, a post office, five gas stations, four bars, police station, Lost River Medical Center, Bengal Pharmacy, several restaurants, all city and county offices, the school district, the elementary, junior high and senior high schools, all within walking distance.
Laundry in the building. Free.
Tenants at Grand Ave include retirees, young 20-30s, school ages, people on SSI and disability, truck drivers, and novel writers. All avenues of life are welcomed.
Our criteria to select tenants: 1. Show income evidence (for example, a SSI check or equivalent income is sufficient, we are housing low income renters); 2. No manufacturing and distributing drug charges in background. 3. No recent criminal background. Applicants need show a pictured ID and SS card to apply. After receiving these docs, a background check will be done on criminal history.
The move-in cost includes 1. first thirty days rent; 2. application fee $40/adult; 3. initiation fee = 1/3 month rent; 4. refundable deposit = 2/3 month rent. These may or may not be adjusted by 5. utility fee, if landlord pays your electricity; 6. pet rent = $20 first pet/month, $15 second; and 7. furniture fee. Some furniture is available for $15 one-time fee (currently this is stopped by the city because fire concerns).
